Prague

Early this week I had the chance to visit for business reasons Prague. Apart from the fact that the trip itself it was one of the most exhausting trips I ever made, I feel the need to to comment on two items.
1. All people I met for business looked to me very educated, good proffecionals and I enjoyed every minute working with them.
2. Since I spend many hours at the airport waiting for my fome flight, I made use of several catering outlets. Prices in Prague are the most expensive in all over the world I guess. Service is from average to poor. But this would mean nothing versus the effort they are doing to rip you off, with several known and stupid methods. If you try to have dinner you will be first informed that the credit card mashine is out of order that particular night, and they would like to know in what kind of currency you will pay. This since your last moments in Prague you will most probably have spend your last local money, and they need to prepeare them selfs to rip you off. Then you will most probably eat yesterday's cooked meat, ( for this preffer spaggeti) and you will ask to pay, the servant will calculate just in front of you on a white peace of paper your dinner, adding 10% service charge, even if the menu card include all charges, and then he/she will convert the local currency to your own, with a minimum of 30% difference than the official rate. When I told them that I can not accept these practices, they recaclulate the meal, which came some 20% cheapper but the never expected me to walk out at the arrivals hall and withdraw local currency from wallmashines. They even told me that I was not allowed to walk out of the controlled area, and I will most probably miss my flight.
Eventually of course things done my way.
It is a petty for a nice country like Checzh that some people destroy the image. I am in a position to know, since same practices are happening also to my home country.
